About the Event
On 16th September 1963, the nation of Malaysia came into being with the signing of the Malaysia Agreement - bringing together the Federation of Malaya, North Borneo, and Sarawak. On this anniversary we will celebrate this historic occasion with a reception as well as the lighting up of Queensland Parliament in the colours of the Malaysian flag.
Guests will have a unique view of Queensland Parliament from the exclusive President's Verandah*, part of the original Parliamentary building. The cost of the event is $65 per person - this covers refreshments, drinks, and entertainment in the historic surroundings of Queensland Parliament.
